Yes, this is your special day and want you to customize it to the way you want it. Caterers must be full-service, licensed, and insured, and must provide a copy of license 30 days prior to your wedding date. If you wish to serve snacks we ask that everything must be prepackaged. No homemade food items are allowed.
Yes, pets are family. Pets will be allowed at the venue the day of the event. Pets must be kenneled if unattended. We ask you to please pick up after your pet and recommend a dedicated pet-sitter. We also allow horses. Several couples have used horse carriages on the property which have been stunning.
Yes, if you have something in mind let us know. We would love to host your next corporate meeting, fundraiser, graduation party, craft fair, prom and so much more. Please reach out. Yes, candles are ok but need to be in a floating glass wear with 2 inches of water. Sparklers and fireworks are not allowed due to permit restrictions.
Yes, we require couples to purchase a $1M policy prior to the wedding day. The policy must state that the event is Stone Lion address and must also state alcohol will be served. Typically the cost to insure for a day is around $150-$200.
The venue manager serves as the chief facility operator, focusing exclusively on the physical environment and infrastructure of the building. Their responsibilities include the logistical "opening and closing" of the site, adjusting environmental controls like temperature and lighting, and ensuring the venue remains clean and well-stocked throughout the event. They handle the heavy lifting of the initial setup and final breakdown of tables and chairs according to your floor plan and act as the primary technical contact for vendors regarding power, load-in, and facility rules. It is important to note that their role is distinct from event production; while they maintain the building, they do not manage decor, oversee your wedding timeline, or coordinate the movements of your wedding party, as those personal and schedule-oriented tasks are reserved for your professional Day-of Coordinator. As though we don’t require you to have a professional day coordinator, we recommend it, to help navigate your special day.
The unique opportunity about our venue is that we allow camping on-site for an additional fee. If camping overnight we ask that you are gone before 10am for the courtesy of the next day's wedding. Also ask about renting rooms in the house that is located on the property for an additional fee.

You are allowed to pick your own alcohol/bar service but are required to have a license and be insured. When you have an open bar we will need to be notified, due to an onsite security guard will need to be present.
This is your day and we want you to choose who is best fitting for your needs. We will provide a preferred vendor list. This list is individuals we have worked with and think are a good fit for this venue. We simply require that all vendors hold any required permits, licenses, certifications and insurance.
Yes, we have unlimited parking. Parking overnight is ok as long as your vehicle is removed the following day before 10am for courtesy of the next day's wedding.
A non-refundable initial payment of $750 to book your date. Then 50% due, 60 days after the date of booking. And final payment is due 6 months prior to your date. Contracts, payments, damage deposits and insurance certificates can be mailed to: 25751 Lily Street NW, Isanti MN 55040. We are unable to hold dates and it's a first come, first serve basis. That is due 30 days prior to the wedding date. It’s $1,000, but refundable.
Yes there is a dedicated smoking area, which is the only place allowed on the property. There is no smoking inside any building or the venue tent.
Unfortunately at this time we are only able to host weddings from May to November with weather permitting. Our dream is to build a wedding venue that is able to be used year round for events. Please follow the website and FB page for updates on the building being built. Possibly starting as soon as 2027.
Set up can start when the venue opens up at 10 AM. This is your special day and you can bring your decorations that you want. We do have some decorations left from previous weddings that can be used at no additional fee.
Security is required only if having an open bar. This will be an additional cost for the couple and their responsibility to get security.
